Indian Granites

India has vast reserves and varied types of granites. The granite found in India is known for its hardness and beauty. India is the topmost exporter of Granite, Basalt, and Sandstone with $738,731,000 being the total amount earned through exporting such per year. Brazil, with $191,008,000 in such earnings through export, lies in second place (Year:2015 Source: WorldAtlas.com). 
The type of Granite in India can be categorized based on region and colour.
The Aravali mountains in North India (Rajasthan, Gujarat, Orissa, and Madhya Pradesh) and plateau of Deccan in South India (Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana) are the major sources of granite in India.  Some popular granites are mentioned here below:
